President's Report
Welcome and Hello SVC Members,
Who is ready to put 2021 behind them and look forward to 2022, I am! 2021 continued to provide challenges for most of us. We are either working remote, hybrid or in the office. Our profession was dealing with continuation of pandemic mandates, credits, special pay and state regulations covering employees' needs regarding the pandemic. Enough about the pandemic, lets get into some exciting news for SVC!
We have launched a new website: https://susqvalleyapa.org/
If you have not checked out our SVC's new website, please do. The Board of Directors is really excited for this new website as it launched in late October 2021. This website is new with lots of potential, please feel free to make suggestions or what would you like to see as this is the Chapter's website.
SHOUT OUT!!!!
Karen Schatz and Peggy Baker have served in many positions within SVC. They were on the BOD, leadership roles and participated on many committees over the years. Karen most recently was the President of the Chapter and Peggy was Secretary of the Chapter, that only skims the surface of all they have done for the chapter. Our chapter has long relied on their knowledge and expertise that had been integral to the chapter's growth. They have always gone above and beyond and picked up pieces of the chapter when we truly needed guidance and leadership. Please when you see them, tell them a BIG Thank you!
Please check the website for updates, meetings and 2022 Statewide Conference as more information will be coming soon.
Regards,
Tracy Cruz, CPP
SVC President
Community Service
The SVC Chapter likes to be involved with the community, a way to give back. In the past we have done Ronald McDonald house, and we give donations to a charity organization (IE: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, American Diabetes Foundation, Food Pantry, etc) that is nominated by the SVC Chapter Members. We are always looking for something new to do. Bring your ideas and how together we can give back to our community.
